Would you believe me if I told you my one of my biggest insecurities is my smile? It’s true.
A childhood accident left me with a crown on one of my front teeth and I’ve always felt self-conscience about it. Now that I have my picture taken as my job I really want to be able to smile with confidence.
Every couple of years I whiten my natural teeth to keep them the same color of the crown or else it will stand out even more. I’ve always used whitening strips and whitening toothpaste from the drugstore but both left my teeth sensitive with little results. How It Works
You will start by answering two questions: are your teeth sensitive and how stained are they? Based off your answers they will send you a kit that has everything you need to get going.
The next step involves a little arts and crafts. You will make impressions of your teeth with putty they provide and send it back to the lab in a prepaid envelope. Trust me, if I can do this you can too. They give you step by step directions plus one extra putty in case you mess up. My custom trays arrived in about 10 days.
Then you get to start whitening. Pro tip: only use 1/3 syringe of whitening gel per session. Otherwise you will have gel overflowing out of your trays and it’s like wasting liquid gold. I chose to whiten for 45 minutes - 1 hour every other day. This worked best for my schedule and cut down on the sensitivity. You will also get some desensitizing gel to use for about 10 minutes after whitening but I honestly didn’t have to use it much. I whitened for two weeks total and here are some before and after pictures.
It might seem like a subtle change but I can tell a big difference in my color and more importantly in my confidence thanks to Smile Brilliant.
